It is stated that it is premature to attribute to arson the disaster to the 35,000-ton French liner, Paris, which sank in port after a serious outbreak of fire on board. The police deny that they receivea warnings of intended sabotage. Nine cases of art treasures, which were on their way to the New York World’s Fair were removed. It is hoped to remove the remaining case ’containing five small sculptures. WARRANT ISSUED. FOR ARREST OF UNKNOWN PERSON. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LE HARVE, April 20. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of an unknown person, for destroying the liner Paris.
