RUGBY CARNIVAL

AT MASTERTON TOMORROW. FUN AND ENTERTAINMENT AT THE OVAL. The Memorial Park- Lighting Committee expect a fine day and a huge crowd at the Carnival to be held tomorrow afternoon at the Park Oval A final committee meeting was held last night and every arrangement was finalised for a well-organised function. It was decided to make a further appeal to past and present players to take part in the procession which will assemble at the Memorial Park at 1 p.m. and then proceed through Queen Street to the Oval. Both the Municipal and College Bands will march in the procession. Present players will appear in football togs as will the referees while members of the St John Ambulance Brigade will be in uniform. The gates will open at 12.45 p.m. for admission of the public to the Park and posters will be distributed in Queen Street- tonight by a troupe of costumed clowns. The committee expressed its sympathy to Mr Groube in his recent bereavement.
