BOROUGH ENDOWMENT
ERECTION OF RESIDENCE AND OUTBUILDINGS. APPLICATION TO BE MADE FOR LOAN. The erection of a dwelling and outbuildings on the Masterton Borough Council’s endowment property on the Eketahuna-Alfredton Road is proposed by the Council, so as to provide the necessary facilities for the working of the land to the best advantage. At present the only building on the property. which comprises 748 acres, is a shed.
Notice is given in our advertising columns of the intention of the council to consider a motion at its meeting on May 8 to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to borrow a sum of £3OOO for the purpose stated. It is proposed that the currency of the loan be 20 years at 3£ per cent interest, plus a sinking rate of 3? per cent, security for the loan to be a special rate of 5-64th of Id in £l, based on the unimproved value of rateable property in the borough. Any person having an objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit it in writing to the council not later than the day proceeding the meeting.
