APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC

ST VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY. (To the' Editor.) Sir, —May we appeal to the public of Masterton, per medium of your paper, to come to our assistance, by purchasing tickets on the beautiful picture now being raffled in aid of our funds? The picture is now on exhibition at Messrs Hugo and Shearer’s, by courtesy of the management, and the raffle closes on April 30. Our funds are at present very nearly exhausted, and we wish to make this final appeal for support. Our regular Sunday visitation at the Hospital costs a large sum per year, for comforts, and for the continuance of this good work alone funds are absolutely necessary. Tickets may be obtained at the Sweets Department, W.F.C.A., and at Messrs Hugo and Shearer’s men’s department. We trust that the public will generously respond ';o this appeal. Thanking you in anticipation, Yours etc. The St. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY. (St Patrick’s Conference). Masterton. April 19.
