FARMERS’ DEPUTATIONS
RURAL TELEPHONE RENTALS & RABBIT CONTROL. WAIRARAPA REPRESENTATIVES. A deputation of representatives of the Wairarapa Provincial District of the Farmers’ Union will wait on the Post-master-General, the Hon. F. Jones, in Wellington next Thursday to discuss the new scale of telephone rentals operating as from April 1. The deputation will be received at noon.
On the same day a Tinui district deputation will wait on the Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, to press for the reappointment of a third rabbit and noxious weed inspector for the Wairarapa.
