ROAD CYCLING

WAIRARAPA CLUB. RACE TO TE WHITI TOMORROW. The Wairarapa Amateur Cycling Club will hold its second race of the season on Saturday. It will be held over a 16-mile course, starting from Messrs Fly and Young’s corner, Bannister Street to Te Whiti School and return. The race will be run under sealed handicap conditions. As all the riders will commence off the same mark it will be interesting to see how the usual back-markers will fare in their attempts at breaking the field up during the journey. The following are the competitors—K. Gilbert, O. Morris, E. Lefort, G. Swain, G. Goodin, B. Dooling, M. Graham, P. Mayes, J. McAliece, J. Brader, R. Copp, K. Woollett, L. Green, C. Gourlay. The race is scheduled to commence at 2.30 p.m.
