NOTE FROM PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT ANTICIPATION IN TOKIO. CONFERENCE OF POWERS SUGGESTED. By Telegraph—Press Association —CopyrightTOKIO, April 19. The newspaper “Asahi Shimbun” says that President Roosevelt intends to send to Japan a personal note similar to his communications with Herr Hitler and Signor Mussolini. He will probably announce the readiness of the United States “to lend its good offices in calling a conference of Powers interested in the Far East for a solution of current problems.”
