“TOUGH MEAT”

HOSPITAL BOARD MEMBER’S CRH IGISM. FACTS TO BE INVESTIGATED. “For some time the meat here has been atrociously tough and leathery,’’ stated Mr P. R. Welch at today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Beard. "We would not have stuff as tough as that in our own homes," he added, "and I do not think we should expect the staff to eat it. If the meat is as tough today as it was on Monday, then the Managing-Secretary and the chairman should investigate the matter. If it is found that there is something radically wrong, then the contract should be cancelled." His suggestion was agreed to.
