BASKETBALL
INTERHOUSE COMPETITION. LAST NIGHT’S RESULTS. A large number of players and supporters witnessed keen competition at the Y.M.C.A. hall last evening when the opening matches of th? Inter-house Basketball competition were played. Valuable assistance, was given by the umpires, particularly Elders Handy and Lin. No games will be played bn Tuesday, April 25. Teams will be circularised regarding practices. The results were as follow: — Old Boys beat Y.M.C.A., 11/9; Reliance Rebuilt Tyres beat Loan and Mercantile, 15/9; Pirates beat Borthwick Bears, 9/6. Ladies’ section: W.F.C.A. beat MeDuff’s, 18/8; Woolworths beat Y.M.C.A. 38/12; Hugo and Shearers beat C. Smiths, 19/16; Lancers beat Rovers, 47/0.
