SYDNEY SALES. GOOD COMPETITION. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright’. SYDNEY, April 17. The Sydney wool sales were resumed today. A total of 10,014 bales' was offered, 8310 being sold at auction and 1748 privately. Compared with the closing sales prior to the Easter recess, best wools ruled at about par, while average to inferior sorts were 5 per cent lower. Carbonising wools were u'nchan'ged.
There was good competition, mainlj’ from Yorkshire, the Continent and Japan.
