Several keen finishes provided a splendid day’s sport for patrons of the Stratford Racing Club's autumn meeting. which was held today in. fine and mild weather. Because of many horses beihg doubly engaged, there were heavy scratchings in some of the races, and a couple of small fields (including a three-horse race for the open sprint), probably accounted for a decline of £2271 on last year’s autumn totalisator turnover.
