FOR THE EVENING WEAR
SUEDE, LACE AND NET. For the evening, suede, lace, and net. in a wide range of brilliant shades, is to be the fashion in the spring with the black frock, matching up with the shoes and jewellery. The fine net glove is sprinkled with tiny bright flowers, and a still finer net, so transparent as to be almost invisible, has conspicuous nosegaj’ in matching velvet on the wrist, tied with a narrow strip of black velvet ribbon. Another idea is to have little glittering bouquets worked on the back of the hand and repeated on the gauntlet. The new suede glove comes in pastel tones of every hue with insertions of fine black lace let into the sides of the fingers and repeated on the cuff to form a neat border. Long lace gloves are very lovely and delicate this year, and little lace mittens are new and altogether charming. Some of these have a wristlet of small leather flowers in dark tones to emphasise the airiness of the lace.
