CIVIL MARRIAGES
DECLARED TO BE ILLEGAL IN SPAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) MADRID, April 14. The Nationalist authorities announced that 45,000 civil marriages celebrated in the Madrid region during the Republican regime were illegal. Officers performed half this total at the front and magistrates the remainder.
