CHARLIE CHAPLIN
REPORTED TO BE MAKING TALKIE. Charles Chaplin is expected to break down a bashfulness that has haunted him for many years and appear in a talking motion picture that he is now producing at Hollywood. Mr Chaplin speaks with a very pronounced English accent, that is very disarming when one fails to comprehend the fact that he is a Britisher and first made his stage debut in London as a pantomimic comedian in a slap-stick comedy. As a tumbler in the old days, few could compete with Chaplin.
