The Gibraltar correspondent of the British United Press says it. is reliably stated that further contingents of Italian troops, dressed ns civilians, has arrived in Cadiz. April 11. “The Times” Paris correspondent says it is Confirmed that Italian reinforcements have been arriving in Cadiz. Italy’s attitude towards her pledges to withdraw volunteers from Spain is regarded as most important in judging the value of. her assurances relating to the status quo elsewhere. Abnormal Spanish troop movements have been observed near the French frontier, notably at I run and Pamplona, where there are strong concentrations. FRANCE ALERT PREPARATIONS EXPEDITED. Cabinet has approved further military measures and reviewed machinery for a partial mobilisation, over-reach-ing the previous precautions rate. The calling up of reservists is being accelerated and preparations .in all branches, are being carried to the point at which they are ready for instant action. Measures are being studied for turning over the railways to the Army. The Fleet is believed to be fully prepared and the coastal batteries manned. It is reported that large-scale fortifications in Spanish Morocco aim at preventing a French advance towards Ceuta, with .the object of relieving any menace to Gibraltar. It is authoritatively . stated that Greece Has . informed Britain hnd France..that .she will resist any aggression. The Greek Cabinet decided to co-operate fully with the British and French guarantee <b Greece. M. Bonnet (French Foreign Minister) had a conference with the Soviet Ambassador. M. SoufitZ. It is stated that Britain and France are trying to evolve a formula whereby Poland and Rumania would accept Soviet .aid.
