PERRY BROS CIRCUS

Coming by special train and showing in Masterton on Friday and Saturday, April 14 and 15, the famous Perry Bros will present their modern Circus of 50 International stars together with their Zoo of 18 cages of wild jungle animals and herd of elephants. Heading this outstanding array of talent are the Flying Dunbars, with the most sensational act ever imported to Australia and New Zealand. They perform miraculous feats while flying 40 feet up in the dome. Their act is dangerous, stimulating and sensational. Supporting this marvellous act will be one of the strongest combinations of circus performers ever to tour New Zealand, including 40 of the world’s greatest artists and Madame Danada, the only lady tiger trainer in the world. This young lady enters the cage with ferocious tigers, carrying with her no other protection than an ordinary chair. Another novelty to be seen is Professor Leon and his performing sheep. Professor Leon is the only person to ever accomplish the difficult task of training sheep.. These sheep perform all manner of tricks at the direction of their master. Direct from America Perry Bros have imported the Moore Sisters, . whirlwind trampoline marvels. Deloria Silbini is an outstanding contortionist. The troupe of performing dogs trained by Hector Hill do everything but talk. Still another sensation is the Roberdillas, the only wire walkers to ever attempt both forward and backward somersaults from feet to feet on the tight wire. These are only a few of the outstanding acts to be seen at Perry Bros’ Circus. There are twentyfive beautiful horses and ponies, lions, tigers, bears, baboons, monkeys, leopards, jaguars, elephants and the world’s two greatest mystery animals the mandrill, the only one of its kind in Australasia, and the black leopard cub. Direct from Europe, Perry Bros have imported a new team of Continental clowns and dummies, who are introducing a new era in fun and merriment. The Zoo will be open daily from 4 to 5 p.m. for the feeding of the animals. There will be matinees on Saturdays at 2.30 p.m. The location will be next to Tatton’s Garage, opposite the Catholic Church.
