NEW MOVE BEING MADE FOR SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE IN PROSPECT IN CAIRO. TALK OF FRESH PROPOSALS BY BRITAIN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, April 11. A Cairo correspondent of the British United Press says the arrival of representatives of Palestinian parties may be regarded. as a new move to settle the dispute. It is believed that a round table conference is being called shortly to endeavour to reach a rapid solution. in view of the international situation. In response to an invitation from the Egyptian Government Dr Chaim Weizmann has arrived from Palestine and attended a conference with the Premier. The Egyptian Ambassador in London arrived, it is reported, with fresh proposals from Britain. Emir Feisal and other Palestinian leaders are at present in Cairo and an Iraqian delegate is arriving tomorrow. Reuter’s -Cairo correspondent says Saudi; Arabian, Iraqian and Egyptian delegates are meeting the Premier tomorrow, to discuss the British suggestions.
