FEATHERSTON
CRICKET CLUB DANCE (“Times-Age” Special.) A larger -attendance than usual was recorded at the Featherston Cricket Club’s annuaul dance in the Anzac Hall on Saturday night. The duties of M.C. were capably carried out' by Mr Chas Buck. Udy’s Orchestra supplied the music. The dance was a very successful. A very tasty supper was provided. Personal Items. Mrs W. Hume, who has been visiting Mrs S. Cundy, left today for Martinborough where she will be the guest of Mrs Kershaw. Mrs Bryan, Wellington, is spending Easter with her sister, Mr G. S. Sharp. Mr and Mrs J. E. Penny, Dannevirke, are the guests of Mrs H. Tutbury. Mrs Davies, Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mr G. S. Sharp. Failure of Electric Light. As the result of a car colliding with a power pole in the Martinborough Road on Saturday evening the lights failed for about 45 minutes. Motor Cyclist Injured. A Wellington motor cyclist, who had stitches put in his ankle, and also suffering from shock as the result of an accident, was able to return to his home today. .
