THAT HOLE IN THE HILL!
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Your “While Shaving” contributor “Anon” cannot inveighle me (a Greytonian) into the meshes of the net he spreads to ensnare the feet of the Masterton unwary who trespass upon the sacred domains of this area of correspondence controversy, so I will put temptation behind me and meet his wishes, regarding “that hole in the hill” he calls the Rimutaka Tunnel, in the usual orthodox Way, before these local “While Shaving” cutthroats began their “Sweeney Todd” modus operand!, to possible public hurt (as well as amusement, I grant) by saying that in my humble opinion the nom de plume he himself writes under should precede “any further” argument as to how or when this new “hole in the hill” will see even its start, let alone conclusion!—anon!” This cryptic word, forshortened of its rightful attenuated real significance, just meets the case!, I am, etc, “PROCRASTINATION.” Grey town, April 10.
