CHAMPIONSHIP TRIALS. NEW ZEALAND AND HAWKE’S BAY (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS, April 9. The New Zealand and Hawke’s Bay gun dog field trial championships were decided during Easter weekend in Raupare, and drew a large attendance of spectators. Competing dogs came from as far afield as Invercargill, Christchurch, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Masterton, and Lower Hutt. The meeting was conducted by the Hastings Field and Gun Dog Club. The results were as follows:— Spaniel Championship.—T. Bradshaw’s (Christchurch) Brunley Doll, 1; P. Hennessey’s (Invercargill) Sir Three Star, 2; E. Hall's (Lower Hutt) Blue, 3. Retriever Championship.?. R. Rose’s (Lower Hutt) Shotover Sheila, 1; R. V. Mason’s (Masterton) F.T. Ch. SiJkie Sue, 2; J. Timm’s, (Hastings) Rolo of Riversdene, 3. Hawke’s Bay Land Trial Championship.—W. Jarvis’s (New Plymouth) Holme Chieftain. Hawke’s Bay Water Trial Championship. —P. Hennessey’s Sir Three Star. N.Z. All Breed Championship.
