STRUCK BY MOTOR CAR

DEATH OF PEDESTRIAN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ROTORUA, April 7. George Ria, married, aged 28, a clerk employed in the Native Department in Rotorua, was fatally injured on Thursday evening when he was struck by a car driven by Henry A. Moore, Presbyterian missioner, on the main RotoruaHamilton highway about one mile from Rotorua. Mr Ria, who was accompanied by a companion, was walking on the bitumen in the same direction as the car was travelling. He died two hours later in the Rotorua Hospital from head injuries.
