NEW ZEALAND CELEBRATIONS IN 1940. VISIT OF AUSTRALIAN PARTY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, at noon.) SYDNEY, This Day, Representatives of the Lismore branch of the Returned Soldiers' League have begun negotiations with the Shaw, Savill Company, with a view to chartering a special ship for a north coast contingent of returned soldiers who propose to attend the Anzac Day celebrations in New Zealand in 1940. Branch members think that 250 passengers are required and that they can be obtained.
