Signor Mussolini and Herr Hitler had a long telephone conversation. They agreed fully on the “precautionary military measures” Italy had taken. They also discussed questions involving concerted action if political developments move faster than is expected. It is still impossible to check whether Italian troops have landed at Albania. The Government is most secretive and refuses to confirm or deny military movements. ITALIANS AT CADIZ. BURGOS ASKED TO CLARIFY REPORTS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day. 10.15 a.m.) PARIS. April 5. M. Petain has been instructed to ask Burgos to clarify reports of the landing of Italian troops at Cadiz. HLINKA PARTY GRANTED OFFICIAL STATUS. SIMILAR FOOTING TO NAZIS. (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) BUDAPEST, April 5. The Hlinka Guards and the Hlinka Party have been granted official status. The Party is thus on a similar footing to the Nazi Party.
