WESTERN SONG DESTROYED

FETLOCK BROKEN. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, April 5. Western Song and El Caballo were sent out to jump a round of the steeplechase course at Riverton this morning. After jumping the sod wall brilliantly, Western Song had to be pulled up, and it was found that he had fractured his near fetlock. The damage appeared to have been done on the flat, as he did not make any error at the obstacle. The Songbird gelding was at once destroyed.
