The Government’s serious view of the international situation caused King Carol to cancel all receptions for the time being. M. Gafencu may postpone his visits to Turkey, London, Paris and Rome. It is understood that M. Tilea has been ehtnisted with far-reaching plans aiming at the preservation of Rumania’s independence, which he is negotiating in Ldiid'O'n.
