BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED

PRESENTATION TO MISS D. BLANE. A happy surprise party was held last evening at the home of Mrs G. Blane, Vivian Street, Masterton, when members of the Kuripuni Youth Council met to extend their best wishes to Miss D. Blane, whose marriage is to take place on, Saturday. A most enjoyable time was spent with games, interspersed with music provided by Mrs H. Speight. At the supper interval Miss Blane was the recipient of a handsome crystal vase. In making the presentation, Mr C. R. Goudge made eulogistic reference to the services rendered by Miss Blane in connection with the Kuripuni Methodist Church and Sunday School, and wished her happiness and prosperity in her new sphere of life. Miss Blane in a happy little speech acknowledged the honour extended to her.

A most enjoyable evening terminated with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
