WEEKEND ACCIDENTS
FOUR IN TARANAKI.
SIX PEOPLE INJURED

NEW PLYMOUTH. This Day. Six people were hurt in four weekend road accidents in Taranaki. ' Norman Foster,■ of New Plymouth, received a cut on his forehead and Norah Bennett suffered back and minor abrasions, when a car went over a ten fool bank and finished upside down. A boy named Dutton, aged 18, of New Plymouth, suffered a broken arm and a broken leg when his motorcycle ran into a pole near Inglewood >n Junction Road about 2 a.m. yesterday during a fog. He was admitted Io hospital, where his condition is satisfactory. A collision occurred near the Ngaere overhead bridge, between a car and a motorcycle ridden by Brian Coe, who receive the full force of the impact on his right knee. His machine was turned right about and the ear. driven by Percy Freeman of New Plymouth, came to rest against a bank. Both Freenan and a passenger, who occupied the two front seats, escaped injury, but a woman on the back seat bumped her head severely when the car came to i sudden stop. With her in the back were six children, none of whom were hurt. Coe was taken by ambulance to hospital, where his condition is satisfactory.
A contused wound on the back of his head was received by Reginald I. Hill when his motorcycle became involved in a collision with a motor car at Hawera, about 7.45 p.m. on Saturday.
