COLLEGE BOY CONDUCT.
(The Editor.)
Sir,—ln reply to a letter in your paper on Saturday over the nom de plume "Observer" might I be permitted to make a few remarks. In the first place, as a motorist. I think, the Principal of the Wairarapa College is to be congratulated on the tremendous improvement in road sense and behaviour of pupils, particularly those on bicycles. Certainly there are a few defaulters. there always will be, but how in all fairness can the Principal be expected to follow the actions of some six hundred pupils outside the College grounds. Does it occur to "Observer" that home influence is a tremendous factor in the manner in which children treat elderly persons or stray dogs scuttling across the street. Let the parents do their job. and don't try to push it all on to the Principal. I am, etc. "BE FAIR."
