THE MASTERTON CEMETERY.

(The. Editor.)

Sir,—As a visitor to your most beau-tifully-cared-for cemetery today (Sunday) might I suggest to your WaiGraves Committee (if you have a local branch) to get in closer touch with such activities elsewhere and force upon the Government’s mind the matter of providing "each and every ’ exveteran victim of the Great World War with a more fitting memorial tablet than some of these, in your cemetery, seem to enjoy above their otherwise wellkept graves. Little wonder, in view of another Great World War, the parents, wives and children and relatives of such as have already made so great ■‘a sacrifice” for God and King and Empire (recognised so shamefully, after a lapse of many years) should say: “God forbid it may ever occur again.” I am, etc. “A PASSERBY." Masterton. April 3. 1939.
