(Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 31. Messrs Dawson, Son & Co., Ltd., commenting on the wool outlook state that the strength of the London market is remarkable. Substantial offerings were cleared in an exceptional manner with a minimum of withdrawals, despite stocks in Britain standing at the highest level for a year. Stocks of crossbreds, however, are not excessive. There was little fear of a substantial decline in values. LONDON SALES A GRATIFYING FEATURE. A gratifying feature of the wool sales has been the brisk demand for crossbreds, traders regarding the future With confidence, believing the stocks will be required whatever is the outcome of the European troubles. Considerable quantities of crossbreds are going into clothing for the defence forces.
