A “Times” cable message from Hong Kong states that the Chinese still hold Konglnoon despite Japanese bombing. They claim that they heavily defeated the Japanese at Pakkai, taking 200 prL soners mostly Chinese irregulars iff the Japanese employ. They are executing many Chinese traitors. SEVERE CASUALTIES. IN CAPTURE OF NANCHANG. CHUNGKING, Match 31. The Chinese estimate that the Ja j panese suffered fifteen thousand Casualties in capturing Nanchang, which they attacked with fohr divisions. Severe fighting continues round the city. The Chinese have reoccupied Fengsin. The Japanese are reported to have suffered two thousand casualties at YochoW.
