Hodgens stated today that he had already engaged 387 of the 500 men required for the building trades in New Zealand, and he hoped to get the remainder in Brisbane. He added that he had received a letter from the Minister of Housing. Mr. Armstrong, stating that the men so far sent to New Zealand were an excellent type and likely to prove most satisfactory. Mr Hodgens is not returning to New Zealand for two weeks.
