MASTERTON Y.M.C.A.

ANNUAL MEETING HELD LAST NIGHT, PROGRESS WELL MAINTAINED.“I think you will agree that the work of the Association has been well maintained during the past year,” said Mr W. A. Clarke, president of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. at the annual meeting of the Association last night, when referring to the annual report and balance sheet, “and the future of the association looks bright.” There was a large and representative attendance of the public at the meeting, which was held in the new hall.

The annual report, a particularly comprehensive review of the association’s activities during the past year, as may be gauged from the fact that it took twenty-five minutes to read, was adopted. Messrs J. A. Kennedy and J. D. O’Connor and the Rev F. J. Parker were declared elected unopposed as members of the directorate.

“I think that all of us were very much interested in the very fine annual report presented to the meeting tonight.” said Mr H. H. Daniell, who, on behalf of the general public, expressed appreciation of the way in which the directors had carried out their work. Mr'Daniell, adding that he had been a visitor to the Association’s rooms on many occasions, ■ said: “All feel very much humbled at the way that the work of the Ladies’ Auxiliary is done week after week.” ,
