PROLIFIC BERKSHIRE
At the Brisbane (Queensland) show a Berkshire sow was exhibited which had produced 48 pigs during a period of 15 months. Of these, 44 reached marketable age without one sucker having been crushed or injured by the sow. She has again produced 33 pigs in the last 11 months.
