STRUCK BY HOOK
MAN FATALLY INJURED,

When a hook used for drawing a rake of trucks on the wharf at Lyttelton slipped this morning it struck Clarence Harold Jackson (33), married, a severe blow on the chest inflicting internal injuries, from which he later died'in the hospital. Jackson, an employee of the Shaw, Savill Co., was standing near the rake of trucks while the Fordsdale was being unloaded.
