Y.M.C.A.
ANNUAL MEETING TONIGHT. Attention is drawn to the annual general meeting of the Y.M.C.A. and the farewell to be tendered to Mr A. E. Bate, at the Y.M.C.A. Hall this evening. The farewell, which has been arranged by the Directors of the Association, is to be in the nature of a public function, at which all citizens are cordially invited to be present. There will be musical and other items and the speakers for the evening will include the Mayor (Mr T. Jordan), the President of the Ministers’ Association (Rev D. McNeur), Mr H. H. Daniell, representing the Masterton Trust Lands Trust, and the President of the Association (Mr W. A. Clarke). In view of the extent of Mr Bate’s work during the past 14 years and his far-reaching association with many sections of the community, a large attendance is anticipated.
