CAMERON MEMORIAL PARK

FLOODLIGHTING SCHEME.

MOVE BY FOOTBALL CLUBS.

A meeting convened by the Masterton Football Club was held last night for the purpose of raising funds to instal floodlights at Cameron Memorial Park.

Mr A. Corskie occupied the chair and representatives of the Masterton, Red Star and Old Boys clubs were present. It was decided on the motion of Mr S. Lamb, seconded by Mr S. Henson, that the Masterton, Red Star and Old Boys clubs form themselves into a committee with the object of raising the necessary funds to instal floodlights in the Cameron Memorial Park. Mr S. Lamb was appointed secretary Mr F. Morton treasurer and Mr A. Paterson chairman. It was decided on the motion of M” Corskie, seconded by Mr Saunders that the committee hold a carnival on Saturday, April 22 provided the Masterton Park is available, and a dance in the Municipal Hall on April 29. An excellent spirit permeated the meeting, all the delegates being anxious to combine in an effort to bring about a much needed improvement a’ the Cameron Memorial Park. Judging by the team work there is every prospect of the committee's objective being realised.
