MUSIC FESTIVAL

BRUNO WALTER AT CANNES. Cannes held an International Music Festival consecrated to Mozart, from February 19 to 23, conducted by Bruno Walter, with the assistance of Jacques Thibaud.

One evening was devoted to a Mozart concert, another to three sonatas, and there were two evenings set aside for the “Marriage of Figaro.” The “Marriage of Figaro” was sung by the same artists who sang in it in August, 1937, at Salzburg.
