CONDITIONS IN CANADA. OTTAWA. During 1938, births registered in the 66 cities and towns of Canada having 10,000 population or over, totalled 84,566, deaths 51,686 and marriages 41.233. These show increases of 4 per cent in births and 2 per cent in marriages and a decrease of 3} per cent in deaths as compared with 1937. These figures reflect the healthy living conditions in the Dominion with improving social and housing situations. Assurance in the continued economic recovery are also reflected in the increased number of marriages.
