CANADIAN CATTLE
SELECTION FOR WORLD FAIR. LONDON, Ontario. Forty prize-winning Canadian cows will be selected by four dairy breed associations of Canada (Jersey, Ayrshire, Holstein-Friesian and Guernsey) to represent Canada at the dairy section of the New York World’s Fair. These cattle will live at the Fair during its six months’ duration commencing May 1, 1939, and will be housed, along with cattle from the United States, under model conditions in a special 500,000 dollar building. All dairying processes, including feeding, cleaning, milking and conditioning and processing milk, will be demonstrated through glass partitions to the public, and the produce from the herd will be distributed among the 50,000,000 visitors expected at the exhibition. In addition to the cows, Canada will send champion bulls and prize calves for exhibition
