SOME CANADIAN FIGURES. OTTAWA. Canada imported 3.126,170 pounds of tea during December, 1938, as compared with 2,906.810 pounds in December. 1937. Black- tea predominated with Canada importing Ceylon black tea to the amount of 905,136 pounds, black tea of India 1,904,519 pounds, China black to 16,256 pounds, black tea of other countries, - principally Japan, 77,382 pounds. Total imports of tea into Canada during 1938 amounted to 37,591,064 pounds, a slight decrease from 1937. Coffee and chicory imports into Canada during 1938. amounted to 43,139,830 pounds as compared with 38,398,164 pounds in 1937. _____
