BRITAIN’S ATTITUDE
STIFFENING AGAINST ACTS OF AGGRESSION RUSSIA READY TO ENTER PACT. IN EITHER EASTERN OR WESTERN EUROPE. (Independent Cable Service.) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, March 28. It is learned from a high diplomatic source that the attitude of the British Government is stiffening against aggression. It is also understood that Russia has intimated that she is prepared to enter an automatic antiaggression pact, applicable either to Eastern or Western Europe, giving formal guarantees and commitments. It is believed that Britain also is favourably considering giving Poland the necessary guarantees.
