General situation: An anti-cyclone is now approaching across the Tasman Sea and pressure is rising rapidly over the Dominion. Forecast: Strong southerly winds reaching gale force in places but decreasing tomorrow; weather cold and changeable, with occasional but mainly light showers, but improving tomorrow.
