HUNGARIANS AND SLOVAKS UNABLE TO AGREE NO PROGRESS AT CONFERENCE. FURTHER RESERVISTS CALLED UP By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) BRATISLAVA, March 27. Hungarian and Slovak delegates held a conference which lasted for two hours but no progress was made towards an agreement, the Slovaks insisting that the eastern frontier must be that fixed between Slovakia and Ruthenia in 1926 and the Hungarians declaring that much territory west of that was Ruthenian, because the 1926 frontier was based on administrative expediency, not ethnographic, economic or strategic principles. The Defence Ministry announced that fighting had died down but several small clashes had occurred. Five classes of air force, three classes of anti-aircraft reservists and all classes of air force mechanics and technicians have been called up. All experienced pilots have been invited to vol--1 unteer. SLOVAKS CHARGED VIOLATION OF HUNGARIAN TERRITORY. ATTACKS MADE AT GENERAL POINTS. (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) BUDAPEST, March 27. A communique has been issued stating that Slovaks violated the Hungarian frontier on March 26 at ttyree points. Eight Slovaks were killed and seven taken prisoner. It adds that Slovaks repeatedly attacked a fourth point on March 27 but were driven back.
