FORESTERS’ LODGE

FORTNIGHTLY MEETING.

PRESENTATION OF JEWELS TO MEMBERS.

The fortnightly meeting of Court Loyal Enterprise Ancient Order of Foresters was held last evening/ the C.R. Bro C. A. Leigh presiding over a good attendance.

Bro Sharman reported favourably on the sick brethren.

Bro Walker reported on the Saturday night card tournaments. The C.R. called upon Bro H. E. Gardner to present Bros Scrivener and Barr with their P.C.R. Jewels. In a few well chosen words Bro Gardner expressed pleasure at being called upon to perform such a pleasing duty as both of these members had done all they possibly could in the interests of the Order of Foresters.

The recipients suitably replied. Bro Leigh took, the opportunity of welcoming the C.R. Bro J. Fisher and his officers from Court Marquis of Normanby, Carterton. The District Junior Woodward Bro J. Fisher, senr, was also present.

The visitors suitably responded and at the conclusion of business a happy time was spent with indoor bowls and cards, terminating with a tasty supper. Sick pay and accounts amounting to £3O 13s lid were passed for payment.
