FAIREY STRATOPLANES

PRESSURE CABINS OF ADVANCED KIND. MACHINES CAPABLE OF SPEED OF 275 MILES PER HOUR. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. March 25. Additional details of the Fairey stratoplanes for flying at groateheights than is at present practicable with passengers are announced. Fourteen of these airliners have been ordered by the Air Ministry. They will embody pressure cabins o’ a more advanced kind than those of any airliner at present in service or beyond the experimental stage. In the cabins the normal ground level atmospheric pressure will be maintained up to a height of 15.000 feet. Accommodation will be provided fo--30 passengers. This type of airliner is designed to attain a maximum speed of 275 miles an hour and has four engines, each of 1000 horsepower.
