Hockey Association. At the annual meeting of the Bush Union Hockey Association held at Eketahuna, Mr A. N. Suter presided over a small attendance. The annual report showed a small credit for the past season. The balance sheet showed very heavy expenses after having had two overseas teams to play in the district. The Indian match showed a loss of over £2B and the All English Women’s match a loss of over £l5. It was due particularly to the club's assistance that the Association was able to come through with a small credit balance.
The secretary reported that only two clubs had replied to the latter in regard to the annual meeting. As the position was an impossible one, it was suggested that a public meeting be called to ascertain if further support would be forthcoming. It was decided to call a meeting to be held at Pahiatua next Wednesday. Failing more clubs 'taking part it was resolved to, have steps taken to wind up the Association.
