STOCK MARKET

FEILDING SALE. FIRMER TONE FOR FAT SHEEP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, March 24. A firmer tone was evident in the sale of fat sheep at the Feilding stock sale today, some good-quality ewes making increased prices. Lambs and wethers also were in good demand. Despite the fairly large entry, practically the whole of the offering was sold at auction. Store sheep were easier in price, mainly because of lack of quality. Attractive lines of two-tooth ewes were quite up to recent rates, but these were only a few of those offering. Aged ewes were not of the type required. Very few cattle were yarded in either the store or the beef sections, the sale for cattle in the beef section being slow. ■ CARTERTON SALE. SHEEP MAKE LATE RATES. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co.
