A TWO-DAY FIXTURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 23. In view of the large 1 quantity of wool available for the third Auckland wool sale of the current season, which was scheduled for next Monday, the Wool Committee in Wellington has decided to convert the sale into a twoday fixture. The sale will now be spread over Monday and Tuesday, beginning each day at 9 a.m. The offering will total more than 34,000 bales, which is one of the largest ever submitted at an Auckland sale. SOUTHLAND CHEQUE. INVERCARGILL, March 23. An increase of £47,160 in- the Southland wool cheque for the present season, compared with the realisation last year, is shown in the official returns of 1939 sales in Invercargill. Saturday is “prompt date” for the second sale, held early this month, and £334,345 will be distributed, compared with £269,096 for the first sale; The total cheque for Southland for 1939 is £630,442, compared with £583,282 last year and £958,704 in 1937.
