TRAGEDY IN PARLIAMENT HOUSE.

Mr George Pollock, aged 49, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, was found shot dead in a room M his suite in Parliament House today. A shotgun was near the body. The police are satisfied that he was not the victim' of foul play. Mr Pollock had been speaker for seven years and a Member of Parliament since 1915. NOTE LEFT. (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) BRISBANE. This Day. In connection with the death of George Pollock a note was found in the room which read: “A complete nervous and mental breakdown. Can’t carry on. Too much pain."
